Obituary

Dr. David S. Krug was born in Great Bend, Kansas on September 9, 1943 to the late Robert Sterling Krug and Edith Odetta (Whitfield) Krug. He passed from this life in Tulsa on March 12, 2019 at the age of 75 years, 6 months, and 3 days. "Doc", as he was known to many, was raised and educated in Guymon, OK. After graduation, he enrolled in Panhandle State University, then completed his medical education at the Kansas City School of Osteopathic Medicine, graduating in 1967. He served his internship in Tulsa and that is when he met the love of his life, Susan Kaye Ogle. They were united in marriage on October 19, 1968. After marriage, they moved to Wellington, Kansas where he set up his first medical practice. They later officed in Enid, then Bristow. After 40+ years in Bristow, he decided to retire, but that didn't last long. He continued his practice at Little Tree Medical Clinic in Drumright, Pipeline Crossroads Clinic in Cushing, was a practicing physician in the Invictus Health Care Group, and was currently the Medical Director for Emerald Hospice. In addition to his medical practice, he was a man of great faith and involved in various and numerous capacities within the Olive First Baptist Church. He also enjoyed working on his farm, woodworking, and spending time with his family. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother and sister-in-law, Don and Joan Krug.

He leaves behind his loving wife, Susan Krug of the home; children: Kara and Chris Tweedy of Norman - Katie and Ben Scroggs of Olive; Grandchildren: Anna - Rebecca - Christopher - Jadon - and Ethan; two brothers: Gary Krug and wife Loretta of Lindsey - Bill Krug and wife Anita of Indiana; brother-in-law and sister-in-law: Jonathan and Toni Ogle of Texas; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and many friends.

Thank you Dr. Krug for saving my life when i was young and diagnosed with diabetes. Another Dr. in town didn't seem to care about me. You are a great person and a great Doctor.

Bill and Brenda McCuin It was such a shock to hear of David's passing. He was more than our family doctor. He and Susie were our dear friends. Their daughter, Kara, and our son, John, were born only months apart. We had so much fun sharing life as young parents. We also attended the same church and were all active in the music ministry of the church. David and Bill would sometimes bless us with a special duet. After David and Susie moved out to Olive from Bristow, we enjoyed going out to visit them on their farm. We have a picture of our son, John, taken on their farm. It sits on our piano and so often when I see it I think of the Krugs. Although it's been over forty years since we have seen our friends, we will always cherish the wonderful memories we made with David and Susie. David was a caring doctor, a loving husband and father and a special friend. We love you Doc!

Oh how we loved Doc and Susie..Doc saw us through so very hard times and he always had words of encourage ..and maybe a "gab or two of words" in a loving and caring way. I will never forget when he "had" to tell me I cancer (had just gone through tough time with Bill.."you sure don'g need to hear this but I have to tell you and the way he told me..took my fears away (almost)..The day of surgery they had given me my Joy Juice but it had not really kicked in yet..when I heard this soft voice in my ear..."Beth, this is Doc you are going to remember I was here, Susie and I were in town and I her I needed to check on you and she said, "Go", You have a great surgeon here and you will be alright". Susie and I will be praying for you"..He was sooo right as always..I made it through fine and he was our Dr. until he left Little tree..Remember when they first came to Bristow and we started going to him. What a wonderful friend and Dr. What Christian example for others..He lived what he said others should do. Love and prayers for all the family..
