Funeral services for Drumright resident, Luella Coleman, were held 10:00 a.m. Saturday, September 2, 2017 in the Drumright First Christian Church with Rev. Jim Forrest officiating. Interment followed in Euchee Valley Memorial Park near Cushing. Funeral services were entrusted to the care of Michael’s Funeral Home of Drumright.
Luella Coleman was born in Bristow, Oklahoma on November 17, 1924 to the late Roy Kastendieck & Virgie (Anderson) Kastendieck. She passed from this life in Tulsa, Oklahoma on August 27, 2017 at the age of 92 years, 9 months, & 10 days. Luella was raised & educated in Bristow, Oklahoma & was a 1942 graduate of Bristow High School. She married Clyde L. Coleman in Bristow on January 3, 1946 & they raised 3 children. The family moved to Drumright in 1952. Although mostly a homemaker, Luella had worked for a short time at Goddard-Artemis Garment Factory in Bristow & was an accomplished seamstress. In her spare time, she made kitchen scrubbies which she was well known for. She was also a collector of hummingbirds & enjoyed fishing & camping. She & her husband were longtime members of the “Sim-R-On” Sam’s, Goodsam’s RV group & the Drumright First Christian Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a 3 SISTERS: Mildred – Ruth - & Mary Ann.
Her remaining family includes her HUSBAND of 71 years: Clyde Coleman; CHILDREN: Melinda Parker of Drumright – Rick & Darlene Coleman of Jenks – Jennifer & Dale Glimp of Drumright; GRANDCHILDREN: Pamela & J.J. Wilson – Dr. Chris Parker – Stacia & Daniel Bowden – Rhea Coleman – Tabatha & Jayson Jenkins – Amanda Gregory – David Glimp – Dayna Peacock – Kayla Mealey; GREAT GRANDCHILDREN: Hunter Wilson – Tanith Bowden – Maddox Bowden – AshLynn Dudley – Garin Dudley – Tobyn Jenkins – Tristan Gregory – Travoris McFadden – Ceazia McFadden – Chya Gregory – Kordellia Peacock – Kenleigh Peacock - & Brayden Mealey; also numerous Nieces, Nephews, other family members & loving friends.
