Lee Max Brittenham was born in Torrington, WY on September 4, 1935 to Ellis and Gladys (Potter) Brittenham of Ft. Laramie, WY. He passed from this life in Oklahoma City, OK on January 13, 2007 at the age of 81 years, 4 months, & 9 days. Lee and Dorothy Hood both attended school in Ft. Laramie and were married in 1952 in Scottsbluff, NE. They had five sons and were later divorced. Lee worked as a heavy equipment operator in the Platte River valley, as a rotary driller in the Rockies and Mid-Continent oilfields and as a laborer, small business owner and farmer in Oklahoma. He had been a resident of Drumright, OK for the past several years.
Lee is survived by his Brother: James Ellis (Jim)Brittenham of Drumright, OK; two Sisters: Marilyn Meyer of NE - Norma Cummings of OK; three Sons: Terry (Jeanie) of Oklahoma City - Rick of Casper, WY - Douglas of Hawk Springs, WY; Grandson: Roman Brittenham (Dusti); Granddaughters Danielle Diment (Aaron) - Jamie Bilek (Clae); Great-Grandchildren: Stacy Brittenham - Mila and Henry Bilek. Lee is also survived by several special nieces and nephews including Linda, Carla, Larry, Randy, Craig, Kathleen, Mark, James, Suzanne, Paul, their spouses and numerous and much loved children and grandchildren.
Lee is preceded in death by his Parents; sister: Bonnie Machan; Sons: Kim and Kelly; Brothers-in-Law: Leo Machan - Vernon Meyer - Billy Cummings; Sister-In-Law: Ruth (Walker) Brittenham; Niece: Connie (Brittenham) Osterhout; and Nephew: Chris Meyer.
A Memorial Service will be held 2 p.m. Thursday Jan 19, at Michael’s Funeral Home Memorial Chapel, Drumright, OK. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, January 23 at Colyer Funeral Home Memorial Chapel, Torrington, WY. Burial will follow thereafter in the Ft. Laramie, WY cemetery.
