Helen Jean Hodge, resident of rural Stroud, OK, passed from this life at her residence on November 22, 2015 at the age of 77 years. Private family services will be held at a later date. Helen Jean Hodge was born in Fulton, Arkansas on December 19, 1937 to the late Henry Preston Carr & Violet (Cherry) Carr. Her family moved to Bristow when she was a young child & remained there for several years, then moved to California where she graduated high school. She married Carl Ellis Hodge in San Leandro, Ca on August 26, 1955 & they raised a family of 4 son. While in California, she attended college and became a Licensed Practical Nurse. After she & her husband moved to the Stroud area in 1998, she had worked at the Stroud Nursing Center until retirement. She enjoyed collecting antiques & spending time with her family & friends. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by 3 sons: Ed, David, & Larry Hodge; a brother: Bobby Carr; & a sister: Mary Rusco.
Her remaining family includes her loving husband: Carl Hodge of the home; SON: Robert Hodge & wife Sarah of Stroud; GRANDCHILDREN: Dustin, Daniel, Bobby, & David Hodge; 9 GREAT Grandchildren; a SISTER: Phyllis Seal of Depew; & NUMEROUS NIECES, NEPHEWS, other relatives & friends.
