Jason was born in Shawnee, Oklahoma on April 2, 1978 to Steve Lantrip and Cinthia Ann Shuffield. He passed away suddenly at his home on March 18, 2023 at the age of 44 years, 11 months, & 16 days. Jason was raised & educated in McCloud, Oklahoma, Washington State, & Paden, Oklahoma. He was a graduate of Paden High School and had lived in Prague for the past 10 years. He married Hilary Holyfield in Shawnee, OK on March 17, 2017 and they had 2 daughters: Miriam & Guinnevere. Jason had worked at Imperial Brown. He enjoyed comic books, Legos, and spending time with his family & friends. He was preceded in death by his Grandparents: Johnny & Irene Shuffield; Grandfather In-Law: John Holyfield, Sr.; Aunt: Tracy Crawford; Uncle: Dieter Hess; & Cousin: Kittrick Johnson.

His remaining family includes his Wife: Hilary; 2 Daughters : Miriam & Guinnevere; his Mother: Cinthia Shuffield; Brother: Corey Hess & wife Amber; Sister: Kourtney Roberson; his In-Laws: John & Stephanie Holyfield; Grandmother In-Law; Martha Holyfield; 2 Brothers-In-Law: John Holyfield, III – T.J.
