Funeral services for Oklahoma City resident, Rodney Wright, were held 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 8th in the Memorial Chapel of Michael’s Funeral Home of Drumright with Michael A. Davis officiating. Rodney was born in Drumright, Oklahoma on December 30, 1948 to the late Vildie Wright & Nancy (Newport) Wright. He passed from this life at Oklahoma City on March 2, 2023 at the age of 74 years & 2 months. Rodney was raised & educated in Drumright & was a graduate of Drumright High School, Class of 1967. After High School he graduated from University of Central Oklahoma, formerly Central State College & went to work for E.G. Edwards as a stockbroker. He left the financial world and started his own company, American Bureau of Investigation. His new business adventure would take him to places all over the world. Rodney was a history buff and enjoyed fishing, spending time with his family, and traveling. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by 2 brothers: Gerald Wright & Gary Wright.
His remaining family includes 2 children: Natalie Meyer & husband Jeff of Edmond – Roger Wright of Oklahoma City; Grandchildren: Austin – Logan – Cooper – Brooke - & Bryce; Great Granddaughter: Gia; Brother: Ronald Wright & wife Shirley of Drumright; Sister-In-Law: Thelma Wright of Drumright; plus SEVERAL Nieces – Nephews – Cousins - other relatives - & friends.
