Obituary for Harold Leon Spencer
Funeral services for Afton, Oklahoma resident, Harold Spencer, will be held 2:00 p.m. Friday, January 27th in the Olive First Baptist Church with Rev. George “Marty” Brock III officiating. Interment will follow in the Drumright Oak Hill Cemetery. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to the care of Michael’s Funeral Home of Drumright. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested memorials may be sent to the Olive First Baptist Church in his name.
Harold was born In Bristow, Oklahoma on December 13, 1938 to the late Edward Ira Spencer & Etta Lillian (McElrath) Spencer. He passed from this life at his residence on January 12, 2023 at the age of 84 years, & 30 days. Harold was raised & educated in the Olive and Drumright area. He married Marilee Quimby in Mannford on December 5, 1958 and they made their home in the Cushing area. Harold had worked in the oil fields in pipeline maintenance and repair. He enjoyed spending time on his farm & was a PRCA cowboy most of his adult life. Since 2014 he had lived in the Fairland / Afton area. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Marilee.
He leaves behind 2 Children: Tracy Crossfield of Locust Grove – Troy Spencer of Conroe, Texas; Grandchildren: Dustin - Jonathan & Ashley – Gracyn; Brother: Wany Spencer of Tulsa; 2 Sisters: Imogene Fyffe of Missouri – Anne Sehie of Kansas; & a host of Nieces – Nephews – Cousins – other relatives and friends.
