John Robert was born at Drumright, Oklahoma on June 25, 1934 to the late James Ephraim Ishmael & Bertha (Rounsaville) Ishmael. He passed from this life in the Drumright Regional Hospital on August 22, 2022 at the age 88 years, 1 month, & 28 days. John Robert was raised and educated in Drumright & was the class president of his graduating class of 1952. After high school, he joined the United States Army and served until his honorable discharge in 1963. While in the Army, he met Danielle Yvonne Krack & they were united in marriage on October 4, 1958 in Luxemburg. They made Drumright their home and remained together until her death in 2008. On returning to Drumright, John Robert became a pipeline welder and had worked for Cimarron Pipeline Construction & HLH Construction until his retirement. In addition to his parents & wife, he was preceded in death by a SON: John Wade Ishmael in 2020; a SISTER & Brother-In-Law: Lenora & Clovis Hester; & 2 NIECES: Marilyn Hester & Holly Hester.
His remaining family includes a SON: Robert Alan Ishmael & wife Carli of Missouri; GRANDCHILDREN: Mandy – Angela – Logan – & Colin; GREAT Grandchildren: Weston – Chloe – Wyatt – Addison - & Paisley; NEPHEWS: Dale Hester & Mike Hester; plus several other relatives, & friends.
