Henry was born in Stroud, Oklahoma on August 30, 1928 to the late Henry Murphy & Ruth Merle (Cornue) Murphy. He passed from this life at his residence in Oilton on May 30, 2022 at the age of 93 years & 9 months. Henry married Willa Mae Wonderly on July 14, 1948 & they raised a family of 3 children: Larry, Janie, & Susan. They made their home in Kendrick, Oklahoma and in 1954 they moved to Oilton where they remained. Henry was very active in the Oilton community, having served on the School Board for many years. He was a longtime member of the Oilton First Baptist Church, serving as a Deacon, & was also very active in the Oilton Senior Citizens organization. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife: Willa Murphy in 2012; Grandsons: Riley & Adam Peck; & a Brother: George Murphy.
His remaining family includes 3 Children: Larry Murphy & wife Kay of Drumright – Janie Robinson & Susan Peck, both of Oilton; Grandchildren: Dillion Murphy - Sarah Dorsey & husband Cody - & Alison Peck; Also a Sister-In-Law: Betty Murphy of Texas.
