Obituary for Carol Admire (Simmons)
Betty Carol Admire, resident of Silver City, passed from this life in Tulsa on April 19, 2022 at the age of 70 years, 2 months, & 30 days. A memorial service will be held 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 30, 2022 at the Olive First Baptist Church. Cremation arrangements were entrusted to the care of Michael’s Funeral Home of Drumright.
Carol was born in Lusk, Wyoming on January 20, 1952 to John Simmons & Betty (Pry) Simmons. She was raised & educated in the Silver City area where she had spent most of her life. She received her LPN license & had worked at nursing homes in Drumright, Mannford, Sand Springs, and Cleveland & as a private care provider. She had also studied cosmetology & was a volunteer firefighter for the Basin Fire Department. She was a member of the Olive First Baptist Church where she helped serve meals & participated in the quilting class & the fellowship group. She also enjoyed camping, fishing, and spending time with her family & friends. Carol was preceded in death by her father.
Her remaining family includes her husband: David Admire of the Silver City home; Children: David Chidester, III & wife Shelby of Lawton – Kimberly Reed of Minnesota – Kenneth Chidester & wife Mary of Silver City – Jessie James Chidester of Hominy – Kelly Stien & husband Scott of Kentucky – Anthony Admire of Inola; 18 Grandchildren – 8 Great Grandchildren (+ 1 on the way); her mother: Betty Mix & husband Jessie of Arkansas; 4 sisters: Linda - Raenellie – Sandy - & Margaret, all of Arkansas; plus several nieces, nephews, other relatives & friends.
