Gerald Don Turnbow

Gerald was born in Cushing, Oklahoma on December 6, 1944 to the late Reverend Clarence & Hazel Turnbow; the youngest of seven children. He passed from this life in Tulsa on March 14, 2022 at the age of 77 years, 3 months, & 8 days. Gerald was raised & educated in Drumright & was a 1963 graduate of Drumright High School. He married Patricia Gibson in 1966. Early in life, Gerald was gifted with welding & fabrication skills. He paired them with a strong entrepreneurial drive that led him down many successful paths with his wife by his side. In the manufacturing industry, he was known as an innovator and business leader. He believed in hard work and was a mentor to hundreds of employees over the years. Gerald was one of a kind and perhaps best known for his dry humor & sarcasm. He was a man of solid spirit and generosity. He lived a full, adventurous life, traveling the globe and exploring many countries with his wife & daughters. He enjoyed scuba diving, art, attending OU football games, listening to Elvis Presley, eating great seafood, and was an avid reader. He was a devoted Christian and enjoyed serving and volunteering at many churches over the years.In addition to his beloved parents, he was preceded in death by 3 brothers: Roland – Duane - & Leon Turnbow; & sister: Geneva Cronk.

He leaves behind his loving wife of 55 years: Patricia Turnbow; 2 daughters: Shelly Schiffmacher & husband Bill – Yvette Schiffmacher & husband John; grandchildren: Sadie – Gracie – Smith - & Quinn; brother: Carl Turnbow & wife Grace; sister: Wanda Hewitt; plus many nieces – nephews – cousins - other relatives - and friends.
