Obituary for Charles Kenneth Mooney Jr.

Charles was born in Paradise, California on April 30, 1949 to the late Charles Kenneth Mooney, Sr. & Martha Catherine (Adkins) Mooney. He passed from this life in Harrah, Oklahoma on February 16, 2022 at the age of 72 years, 9 months & 17 days. Shortly after his birth, the family moved to the Olive - Bristow area where he was raised & educated. He attended Olive Schools & was a 1968 graduate of Olive High School.. A few months after graduating, he joined the United States Navy & served his country until 1978. During his service he earned several awards & decorations. After discharge, he returned to the Bristow area where he remained. Charles was mechanically inclined & worked as a repairman on the sewing machines for Miss Elaine's Garment Factory until it closed. He was a member of the VFW & a former member of the Elks Lodge. He enjoyed fishing, spending time with his family, playing basketball, & shooting pool. He taught his daughters how to play a mean game of pool. He was also a Dallas Cowboys football fanatic. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by 2 brothers-in-law: Dick Smith & Clarence Mudgett.

His remaining family includes 2 Daughters: Davinna Allensworth of Harrah - Crystal Lyons of Ohio; Grandchildren: Cody - Kyle - Neysa - Joshua - & Hayden; 5 Great Grandchildren, plus 1 on the way; 3 Sisters: Lorene Mudgett of Bristow - Virginia Vaughn of Owasso - Mary Smith of Glenpool; several nieces - nephews - and other relatives & friends
