Mary Hinshaw was born in Yale, Oklahoma on July 6, 1929 to the late William Martin Derr & Dora Ellen (Beale) Derr. She passed from this life in Cushing on December 22, 2020 at the age of 91 years, 5 months, & 16 days. Mary was raised & educated in Yale and has lived all of her life in this area. She had worked as a cook & waitress in several area cafés until her retirement. She married Harold Wayne Hinshaw & they had remained together for 45+ years until his death on December 22, 2019 (the same day as her, 1 year earlier). She enjoyed spending time outdoors and going fishing. In addition to her parents & husband, she was preceded in death by a SON: Harold Osborn; DAUGHTER-IN-LAW: Glenna Osborn; SISTERS: Jessie Mae Castleberry – Martha McClendon – Rosie Nell Benz; BROTHERS: Raymond Derr – Jimmy Derr – Edward Derr – BROTHERS-IN-LAW: Dee Covey – Tom Castleberry – Raymond Ely – Cecil Sholten – & John McClendon

Her remaining family includes her SON: Gerald Osborn of Oilton; STEPSONS: Kenneth Hinshaw & Roger Hinshaw of Drumright; NUMEROUS Grandchildren – Great Grandchildren - & Great Great Grandchildren; SISTERS: Fern Dennis – Dora Covey – Alice Sholten – Anna Ely – Susan Moore; plus a HOST of Nieces – Nephews – Other relatives & friends.
