Graveside committal rites for Drumright resident, Haskell Golden, were held 10:30 a.m. Saturday,
December 19, 2020 in the Allen City Cemetery at Allen, Oklahoma. A memorial service followed on Monday, December 21st at 1:00 p.m. at the Drumright Broadway Church of Christ. Haskell was born in Sapulpa, Oklahoma on July 21, 1932 to the late Haskell Brian Golden & Melba (Shipman) Golden. He passed from this life in Drumright on December 15, 2020 at the age of 88 years, 4 months, & 24 days. Haskell was raised & educated in Sapulpa and ranked #13 in his graduating class of 1950. He furthered his education by receiving an associate degree from the Tulsa Business College in Business Finance & Law. He began working for O.G.& E. in Sapulpa and later transferred to Drumright as the office accountant. He retired in 1987 as district manager after 33 years if service. Haskell was active in J.C and the Lion’s Club. He was also a regular at the BoomTown Theater either on stage, helping backstage, or working as the Lobby Crew. He also enjoyed being a “weekend farmer”. At the age of 62, he became a Christian and devoted his life to Christ. He was an active member of the Broadway Church of Christ and served in many capacities. Haskell married Thelma Wright on August 14, 1966 & they have remained together until his death. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by 2 SISTERS: Virginia Williams & Maryetta Collins.
His remaining family includes his loving WIFE: Thelma; 3 SONS: Judge Douglas Golden – Bryan Golden & wife Elin – Alan Golden; 5 Grandsons – 4 Great Grandchildren; 2 BROTHERS: Lon T. Golden & Gerald Golden; & several Nieces – Nephews - & other relatives.
