Obituary for Linda Jane Leyva (Campbell)

Linda Jane (Campbell) Leyva was born in Drumright, Oklahoma on December 5, 1936 to Bill and Mary (Lee) Campbell. After a 3-year battle with breast cancer on September 10, 2020 she passed from this life at her residence in Okmulgee, Oklahoma. Linda spent most of her life in the Drumright area. For the last 16 years she has lived in Okmulgee, Oklahoma to be near her family.
Linda worked for a while as a Nurse’s Aide at Resthaven Nursing Home and Cooper’s Nursing Home. The career she was most proud of was caring for her beloved grandchildren & Great Grandchildren. Albeit the pay was small the rewards were mighty. She loved her Children and many Grandchildren beyond measure; as they did her. Linda lived her life with a Gypsy soul and a larger than life personality. She was a very avid animal lover. Some of her favorite things were spending time outdoors working in the yard, crocheting, fishing with her grand kids, camping at the cabins and working her puzzle books while enjoying her beloved Pepsi and sweet treats.
Linda was preceded in death by her parents, 2 BROTHERS: Lawrence Campbell & Lynn Campbell, 2 SISTERS: Geraldine Baggs & Fern Hughes and her dearest friend Dorothy Piper.
She is survived by her 8 CHILDREN: Georgia Deer & spouse Bill Mann of Okmulgee, Nancy Packwood of Norman, Jerry Deer of Agra, Teresa Deer & spouse Ivan Criswell of Okmulgee, Chris Deer & spouse Tammy of Agra, Bill Cook & spouse Kristi of Okmulgee, Stacy Cook of Okmulgee & Melody Cook of Okmulgee, NUMEROUS Grandchildren, Great Grandchildren & Great Great Grandchildren, SISTER-IN-LAW: Mary Campbell & NEPHEW: Robert Campbell of Oilton and NUMEROUS other relatives and friends.
