Funeral services for former Oilton resident, Leroy Clark were held 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, June 23, 2020 in the Drumright River of Life Christian Center with Rev. Kevin Vogele officiating. Interment followed in Highland Cemetery at Oilton. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to the care of Michael’s Funeral Home of Drumright. Leroy B. Clark was born in Cushing, Oklahoma on May 16, 1942 to the late Robert Roy Clark & Sadie Lorene (Lynn) Clark. He passed from this life in the Drumright Nursing Home on June 18, 2020 at the age of 78 years, 1 month, & 2 days. Leroy was raised & educated in the Welty – Gypsy – Mason area. He married Ruthie May Welch in Oilton on February 20, 1962 & they have remained together until his death. Except for a short time in California, he has lived his entire life in this area & had worked in the area oil fields on a pulling unit until his retirement. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, playing horse shoes & dominoes, & spending time with his family. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by 3 BROTHERS: Robert – Jimmie – & Vernon Clark; GRANDSON: Ricky Joe Lewis; & a NEPHEW: Clyde Clark.
His remaining family includes his loving WIFE: Ruthie; 2 DAUGHTERS: Debra Lewis of Texas – Mary Walker & husband Aaron of Weleetka; 2 SONS: Roy “Bo” Clark & wife Terisa of Depew – Melvin Clark & wife Dana of Tulsa; GRANDCHILDREN: Dannessa – Dazarae – Aaron Jr. – Tamara – Latrisha – Lisa – James – Sarah – Kyle – & Kristin; GREAT GRANDCHILDREN: Michael Jr. – Dontorian – Jacob – Brycelynn – Layla – Abigail – Madison – Henry – Clancy – RuthAnn – Kenlee – Brecken – Oden – Ashlynn – Aiden - & Hank; 1 BROTHER: Fred Clark & wife Betty of Yukon; 2 SISTERS: Dorothy Hill & Anne Murphy, both of Sapulpa; plus NUMEROUS Nieces – Nephews – other relatives & friends.
