Marvin Earl Harman

Graveside funeral rites for Drumright resident, Marvin Harman, were held 3:00 p.m. Friday, June 12, 2020 in the Lakeview Cemetery at Wichita, Kansas. Military funeral honors were provided by the Kansas Army National Guard. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to the care of Michael’s Funeral Home of Drumright.

Marvin Harman was born in Garden City, Kansas on September 8, 1948 to the late Marvin Ellis Harman & Georgiana (East) Harman. He passed from this life in the Drumright Nursing Home on June 8, 2020 at the age of 71 years & 9 months. Marvin was raised & educated in Welling & Wichita, Kansas. He joined the United States Army in 1967 & served his country during the Vietnam War. He was honorably discharged in 1973. He then served in the National Guard from 1980 to 1983 and the Army Reserves from 1995 to 2001. Marvin had lived the majority of his life in Kansas. He moved to Drumright from Kansas in 2010. Marvin had worked as an aircraft mechanic 30+ years for BOEING. He then went back to school and was trained as an EMS First Responder, a job he loved very much. Marvin enjoyed hunting, fishing, and riding motorcycles. He was a member of the Methodist Church and the Drumright Masonic Lodge #468 A.F. & A.M. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a SON: James Harman; DAUGHTER: Tracy Renea Harman; & GRANDDAUGHTER: Christina Harman.

His remaining family includes 2 SONS: Mark Harman & wife Carissa of Drumright – Allen Harman of Tennessee; GRANDCHILDREN: Dustin – Harlie - Jason – Kris - & Adyn; GREAT GRANDCHILDREN: Aiden & Jason; and numerous other relatives - & Friends.
