C.W.”Charley” Collins

Graveside funeral rites for Drumright resident, C.W. Collins, were held 2:00 p.m. Friday, May 15, 2020 in the Bristow City Cemetery. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to the care of Michael’s Funeral Home of Bristow.

C. W. “Charley” Collins passed from this life suddenly at his home in Drumright on May 11, 2020 at the age of 77 years, 9 months, & 1 day. He was born at Carmi, Illinois on August 10, 1942 to the late Carl Samuel Collins & Juanita Helen (Dressler) Collins. Charley grew up in the Bristow & Tryon areas & was a 1960 graduate of Tryon High School. He joined the United States Army in February of 1966 & was discharged as a Sergeant in 1968. Charley had lived the majority of his life in this area. In 1990, he moved from Mannford to Drumright. He married Barbara J. (Jackson) Cox in 2003 and they made their home in Drumright. Charley owned several businesses in the Drumright area including Antiques & More, and the Drumright Inn. He was also an oil producer. Charley loved going to auctions & meeting people. He was a hard worker and would help anyone who was down on their luck. He was a great asset to this area and will be greatly missed. In addition to his PARENTS, he was preceded in death by his DAUGHTER: Tiffany Ann Collins; & 2 BROTHERS: Ronnie Carl Collins & Kay Franklin Collins.

His remaining family includes his WIFE: Barbara Collins of Drumright; BROTHERS & SISTERS: Kathryn Costner of Bristow – Patricia “Patty” Slane of Claremore – Mary Nell Ailey of Bristow – Danny Joe Collins of Drumright – Edith Ann Owens of Oklahoma City; SEVERAL Nieces & Nephews; STEPCHILDREN: Stan Noble of Sand Springs – Scott Noble of Tulsa – Stacey Faul of Chicago – Renee Daglish of Texas – Lisa Cox of Sapulpa – Mark Cox of Broken Arrow; NUMEROUS Grandchildren & Great Grandchildren; PLUS many other relatives and friends.
