Obituary for Margie Dean Lee (McCarty)

Margie D. Lee passes from this life in Bristow on May 4, 2020 at the age of 86 years, 9 months, and 17 days. She was born at Pine Hill near Bristow, OK on July 17, 1933 to the late Frank McCarty & Laura (Blythe) McCarty. Margie attended Washington Grade School and graduated from Bristow High School. She met Jack Lee while he was home on leave from the Army and they were united in marriage on March 9, 1959 in Oklahoma City. They made their home in Oklahoma City for several years and later moved to Depew where they remained. Margie had worked as a seamstress, a waitress, and a medical office assistant for 25 years until her retirement. She loved pictures and filled the walls of her home with pictures of family and friends. She enjoyed canning and also had an extensive collection of dolls. Her most memorable travels were to Alaska when her grandson was born, and Hawaii, when her great grandson was born. Her best memory was bringing her son Tony home from the hospital. Her greatest achievement was being a mother and a friend and she cherished being able to care for her brother Ronnie "Red Dog" McCarty. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by 3 sisters: Valerie Perry - Frankie McKenzie - and Sybil Newcomb: 4 brothers: Alton - Bob - Ronnie "Red Dog" - and Harry McCarty


Her remaining family includes her HUSBAND: Jack Lee; 2 SONS: Tony Lee and wife Kim - Mike Lee; GRANDCHILDREN: Dustin - Danielle - Brandon - Devynne; GREAT Grandchildren: Traven - Payton & Jordan; also SPECIAL FRIENDS: Cindy Hightower, Brandon & Shelly Inman - Kerry & Shelly Hilbert; PLUS numerous Nieces - Nephews - Cousins - other relatives & friends.
