Obituary for David Albert Perry
Funeral services for former Drumright Resident, David Perry, will be held 1:00 p.m. Thursday, January 2, 2020 in the Drumright First Baptist Church. Interment will follow at 3:30 p.m. in Pleasant Ridge Cemetery near Chandler, OK. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to the care of Michael’s Funeral Home of Drumright.
David Albert Perry was born in Agra, Oklahoma on November 3, 1945 to the late Chris Albert Perry & Alma Faye (Siden) Perry. He passed from this life at his home in Cookson, Oklahoma on December 27, 2019 at the age of 74 years, 1 month, & 24 days. David grew up in the Agra – Tryon – Carney area & was a 1964 graduate of Carney High School. He married Virginia Pearl Kirkpatrick in 1964 & they remained together until her death in 1990. David had worked for the State of Oklahoma Payne County Highway Department until his retirement. On May 22, 1993 he married Sandra Lee Hutchison & since 1995, they made their home in Drumright. In 2014 they moved to Cookson, Oklahoma where they remained. David was a member & Deacon of the Drumright First Baptist Church. He enjoyed fishing, farming, playing golf, yard work, & camping. His favorite pastime was spending time with his family and grandchildren. In addition to his parents & first wife, he was preceded in death by a SON: Thomas Perry in 1991; & a BROTHER: Dallas Perry.
His remaining family includes his WIFE: Sandy Perry of Cookson; CHILDREN: Michael & Trish Perry of Carney – Donna & Doug Moran of Drumright – DeeDee & Joey McEntire of Agra – Lisa Burton & Sandra Epperley of Cookson – Mary & John Tate of Arkansas – Greg & Julie Roberts of Drumright; 17 GRANDCHILDREN – 13 GREAT Grandchildren; 4 BROTHERS: Don Perry of Stillwater – Darrell Perry of Carney – Dewey Perry of Carney – Dennis Perry of Edmond; PLUS numerous Nieces – Nephews – Cousins – other relatives – and friends.
