Obituary for Dennis Rickner
Funeral services for Olive resident, Dennis Ray Rickner were held 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, December 10, 2019 in the Olive First Baptist Church. Interment followed in Euchee Valley Memorial Park in Cushing, OK. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to the care of Michael’s Funeral Home of Drumright.
Dennis Ray Rickner was born in Drumright, Oklahoma on May 16, 1937 to the late Ralph Rickner & Dora (Combs) Rickner. He passed from this life at his residence on December 6, 2019 at the age of 82 years, 6 months, & 20 days. Dennis was raised & educated in Drumright & was a 1955 graduate of Drumright High School. He married Emma Louise Eikenbary in Oilton on May 28, 1957 & they remained together until her death in 2013. Dennis had worked as a foreman for Southern Star Natural Gas for 39 years until his retirement. He was a member of the Olive First Baptist Church & the Creek County Fair Board. He loved spending time on his farm but more especially, he loved to rabbit & coon hunt with his beagles. He was a proud member of ARHA Progressive Pack Beagle Hall of Fame. In addition to his parents & beloved wife, he was preceded in death by a BROTHER: Thomas Rickner.
