Obituary for Charles "Butch" Gibson

Memorial services for Drumright resident, Charles Thomas “Butch” Gibson, were held 1:00 p.m. Monday, September 23, 2019 in the Drumright River of Life Christian Center with Rev. Kevin Vogele officiating. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to the care of Michael’s Funeral Home of Drumright.

Charles Thomas “Butch” Gibson was born in Drumright, Oklahoma on April 26, 1942 to the late Clarence Turner Gibson & Cletious Inez (Tippit) Gibson. He passed from this life at his residence on September 17, 2019 at the age of 77 years, 4 months, & 22 days. “Butch was raised & educated in Drumright & was a 1960 graduate of Drumright High School. After graduating, he joined the United States Army & served his country during the Vietnam War. He returned home where he lived the rest of his life. On July 11, 1969 he married Billie Mae Cramer & they remained together until her death in 2013. Butch had retired from the State of Oklahoma as a liquid propane gas inspector. He enjoyed fishing, golfing, talking to anyone he thought might be listening, telling stories, and spending time with his family & grandchildren. In addition to his parents & wife, he was preceded in death by a SISTER: Paula.

His remaining family includes 3 CHILDREN: Terry Endicott & wife Paula of Tulsa – Elizabeth Dorsey & husband Chuck of Drumright – Krista Fuller & husband James of Texas; GRANDCHILDREN: Tiffany – Randi – Chad – Megan – Michele – Olivia – Julianne - & Charles; GREAT Grandchildren: Beck - Landen – Brooks – Jax – Blaire - & Sophia; 1 BROTHER: Stanley Gibson & wife Peggy of Texas; NEPHEWS & NIECES: Kelly & Lara Gibson – Coyne & Vicki Gibson; GREAT Nieces & Nephews: Mallory – Phillip – Gary – Kelly Michael – Mikayla - & Zachary; plus other relatives - & friends.
