Obituary for Emma Jean Wilson

Emma Jean Wilson was born in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma on September 24, 1957 to the late Matthew
Wilson & Nancy Mae (Johnson) Wilson. She passed from this life in Oklahoma City on August 14, 2019 at
the age of 61 years, 10 months, & 21 days. Emma was raised & educated around Depew & Bristow. She had lived all of her life in this area. She enjoyed fun times with family, drawing, crocheting, gardening,
fishing, cooking, playing cards & dominoes, noise talking & laughing. As a single mother, her most
notable accomplishment was raising her five children. She also helped raise several other children & was
known as “Momma” to many. Along with spending time with her family, her next favorite pastime was
reading the Bible & spreading the word of God to others. Everyone who knew her was aware of her
strong faith & dedication. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a Granddaughter:
Alexis Wilson; 3 Brothers: Roosevelt - Alex - an infant; 5 Sisters: Selethia – Lorene – Catherine –
Virginia - & Doris Jean.
Her remaining family includes her CHILDREN: Wiletta Laviolette & husband Clyde, Jr. of Oklahoma City –
Tanya Tianna Wilson of Tulsa – Chris T. Wilson & wife Jamie of Bristow – Andrew “Epay” Wilson of
Bristow – April Wilson Anderson & husband Brandin of Tulsa; 11 Grandchildren – 1 Great Grandchild; 5
Brothers: Clarence – James – Willie – Elvis – & Ronnie; 1 Sister: Wilma Harrison; & a host of Nieces,
Nephews, Cousins, other relatives & friends.
