Obituary for Grace Gemmell (Weaver)
Funeral services for former Drumright resident, Grace Gemmell, will be held 1:00 p.m. Monday, June 10, 2019 in the Memorial Chapel of Michael’s Funeral Home of Drumright. Pastor George Brock III will officiate. Interment will follow in the Highland Cemetery at Oilton, OK. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to the care of Michael’s Funeral Home of Drumright.
Grace Edna Gemmell was born in Hominy, Oklahoma on March 22, 1931 to the late Andrew William Weaver & Juanita (Sizemore) Weaver. She passed from this life at her residence in Pawnee, Oklahoma on June 5, 2019 at the age of 88 years. Grace was raised & educated in both Hominy & Oilton & was a 1949 graduate of Oilton High School. She had lived all of her life in this area & was the owner / operator of Beauty Inc. in Drumright for many years until her retirement. She enjoyed gardening, cooking, and spending time with her family & friends.
She leaves behind a daughter: Debbie Potter & husband Steve of Cleveland; grandchildren: Shelly Weaver & husband Steve of Drumright – Drue Mills & fiancé Tyson Vantrese of Stillwater; great grandchildren: Brendon – Bailey – Dalton – Niki – Paige - & Brook; 1 brother: Shafter Overstreet of Ardmore; 2 sisters: Pat Overstreet of Oklahoma City – Colleen Deeds of Oilton; & many nieces – nephews - other relatives - & friends.
