Obituary for Bob Henderson
A memorial service will be held 10:00 a.m. Thursday, January 17, 2019 in the Drumright First Baptist Church for Drumright resident Bob Henderson. His cremains will be placed in the columbarium at Fort Gibson National Cemetery on Friday, January 18th. Cremation arrangements were entrusted to the care of Michael’s Funeral Home of Drumright.
Robert Lee Henderson was born in Calexico, California on March 19, 1945 to the late Dale & Delores Henderson. He passed from this life at his residence on January 12, 2019 at the age of 73 years, 9 months, & 24 days. Bob was raised & educated in Kansas. He joined the United States Army and served his country during the Vietnam War. Bob had worked all of his life as a heavy equipment operator, mainly in road construction. He had worked mostly in Kansas before moving to Oklahoma. After his retirement, he moved from Cushing to Drumright. He married Connie Thomas in 2012 & they made their home in Drumright. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by 2 SONS: Jeremy & Ryan Henderson; GRANDDAUGHTER: Olivia Henderson; 1 BROTHER: Gordon Henderson.
His remaining family includes his wife: Connie Henderson of Drumright; 3 GRANDSONS: Zachery – Maximus - & Ryland; Great GRANDSONS: Hunter & Bentley; 2 STEP CHILDREN: Greg Young of Drumright – Sarah Young of Louisiana; 3 BROTHERS: Floyd Henderson - Dale Henderson - & Terry Henderson, all of Kansas; 3 SISTERS: Sharon Gerber of Kansas – Michealita Barber of Georgia – Tina Kroeger of Alabama; & numerous nieces, nephews, & other relatives.
