Obituary for Tom Waites
Graveside services for Olive resident, Tom Waites, were held 2:00 p.m. Thursday, December 20, 2018 in the Euchee Valley Memorial Park near Cushing, OK. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to the care of Michael’s Funeral Home of Drumright.
Tom was born in Chicago, Illinois on June 6, 1954 to the late Frank John Waites & Helen Mary (Hodanick) Waites. He passed from this life in Tulsa on December 14, 2018 at the age of 64 years, 6 months, & 8 days. Tom was raised & educated in Chicago. He married Wendy Ann Poppy on March 19, 1993 & they have remained together until his death. Since 1996, they have made Olive their home. Tom was a truck driver & loved riding motorcycles. He was also a beekeeper & always had a smile on his face & a good joke to tell. But his favorite pastime was spending time with his family & eating chocolate covered raisins with his grandkids. He will be greatly missed.
