Graveside funeral services for Drumright resident, Buddy Poole were held 2 p.m. Thursday, September 13, 2018 in the Welty Cemetery at Welty, OK. Pastor Eric York officiated. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to the care of Michael’s Funeral Home of Drumright.

Buddy Poole was born in Wewoka, Oklahoma on July 23, 1947 to the late Jasper Newton Poole & Elva Mae (Rushing) Poole. He passed from this life suddenly in Tulsa on September 7, 2018 at the age of 71 years, 1 month, & 15 days. Buddy was raised & educated in Okemah. He joined the United States Army in 1966, served during Vietnam, & was honorably discharged from the reserves in 1972. He married Lucy Myrtle Harrison in Welty on February 14, 1969 & they made their home in Drumright. Buddy had worked in the area oilfields all of his life. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, & spending time with his family. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his WIFE: Lucy in July of 2018; 1 BROTHER: Alfred Lynn Poole; & 2 SISTERS: Viloit Marie & Pamela Kay.
