A memorial service for Drumright resident, Linda Maloy, was held 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, June 5th in the Oak Grove Baptist Church. Pastor Jonathan Gilliland officiated. Services were entrusted to Michael’s Funeral Home of Drumright.
Linda Faye Maloy was born in Pawhuska, Oklahoma on March 26, 1950 to the late Roscoe William Martin & Viola (Lott) Martin. She passed from this life in Tulsa on May 28, 2018 at the age of 68 years, 2 months, & 2 days. Linda was raised & grew up on a ranch at Pawhuska, Oklahoma & was a 1969 graduate of Pawhuska High School. After graduating, she attended college at NSU & in 1978 became the director of the Pawhuska Nursing Home. She enjoyed her work very much and loved seeing the smiles on the resident’s faces. She later had worked as a private duty nurse until her retirement. After a lengthy hospital stay after heart surgery, she moved to Drumright to be closer to her daughter & family. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her HUSBAND: Larry Maloy in 2008.
Her remaining family includes her CHILDREN: Shawn & Lisa Taylor of Pawhuska – Starla & Rick Creekmore of Drumright – Bo Maloy – Leah Maloy - & Lara Maloy, all of Tulsa; GRANDCHILDREN: Thatcher Taylor – Cade Creekmore – Zack & Austin Maloy – Carter, Avarie, & Tory Maloy; 2 BROTHERS: Ted Martin & Roscoe Martin, Jr., both of Pawhuska; SISTER: Marilyn Martin of California; & numerous Nieces, Nephews, & other relatives.
