Graveside funeral rites for Cushing resident, Marilyn Boyett, were held 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, May 8, 2018 in the Fairlawn Cemetery at Cushing, OK with Pastor Michael Martin of the Cushing First Baptist Church officiating. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to the care of Michael’s Funeral Home of Drumright.

Marilyn Rose Mehan Boyett was born in Midwest City, Oklahoma on September 3, 1952 to the late John Oliver Mehan & Phoebe Juanita (Johnson) Mehan. She passed from this life in Tulsa on May 4, 2018 at the age of 65 years, 8 months, & 1 day. Although Marilyn was born an Okie, she was raised & educated in California where she lived for many years. She moved from California to Jones, OK in 1990 then to Drumright / Cushing area in 2003. She had worked in the Drumright School Cafeteria until her retirement. In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her Mother in 2017: Phoebe Juanita Jones.

Her remaining family includes a DAUGHTER: Evelyn Chang of Cushing; GRANDCHILDREN: Andrew Jensen – Lakoda Chang – Isaak Chang; 2 SISTERS: Sharon Kay Loftus of California – Barbara Duncan of Cushing; 1 BROTHER: Johnny Mehan of Arizona; & numerous other relatives & friends.
