Funeral services for Silver City resident, Dollie Harness were held 2:00 p.m. Friday, March 23, 2018 in the Friendship Community Church at Mannford, OK with Pastor Delores Terrell officiating. Interment followed in the Mannford Oak Hill Cemetery. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to the care of Michael’s Funeral Home of Drumright.

Dollie Mae Harness was born in Flippin, Arkansas on September 29, 1927 to the late Jess James Stucks & Mary Mabel (Wainwright) Stucks. She passed from this life on March 17, 2018 at the age of 90 years, 5 months, & 17 days. Dollie was raised & educated in Flippin, Arkansas & at the age of 15, she went with her dad to Parson, Kansas to help support the rest of the family. While there, she met the love of her life, Alvin Harness & they were united in marriage on January 19, 1945 in Oswego, Kansas. They settled in this area in 1955 & raised 2 sons: J.D. & Keith. Dollie had worked at Hissom Memorial Center for 20 years until her retirement. She had also worked at the Drumright Nursing Home several years. She enjoyed making quilts & working in her garden. But more especially, she loved spending time with her family & sharing the stories of her life. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by 2 BROTHERS: Louis & James Stucks; 5 SISTERS: Lorine Warren – Irene Murphy – Clary Stucks – Jessie Barnett - Mary Dell Gray; & Grandson: Brian Keith Harness.

Her remaining family includes her loving HUSBAND of 73 years: Alvin Harness of the home; 2 SONS: J. D. Harness & wife Joan of Bristow – Keith Harness & wife Shirley of Silver City; GRANDCHILDREN: Justin & Cyndee Harness – Heath & Suann Harness – Sharon James; GREAT Grandchildren: Heather Wilson – Morgan Banuelos – Coleton Harness – Jaron James – Kaylea Harness – Jacob Harness – Ashley Harness – Chloe Harness; Great GREAT Grandchildren: Kade Wilson – Delannie Banuelos – Macie Wilson – Rhett Banuelos; numerous NIECES & NEPHEWS – & other RELATIVES.
