Funeral services for Drumright resident, Sue Vice, were held 2 pm Wednesday, January 3, 2018 in the Drumright First Baptist Church with Pastor Cody Wells officiating. Interment followed in the Drumright Oak Hill Cemetery. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to the care of Michael’s Funeral Home of Drumright.
Sue Vice was born in Henderson, Texas on September 15, 1940 to the late Owen Don Lokey & Margaret Claire (Barrett) Lokey. She passed from this life suddenly in the Drumright Regional Hospital on December 30, 2017 at the age of 77 years, 3 months, & 15 days. Sue spent her early childhood in Texas. Her family moved to Drumright in 1955 where she completed her education. She was the 1957 Drumright Basketball Queen, was Band Drum Major, & was a 1959 graduate of Drumright High School. While in school, she met Edgar Vice, Jr. & they began their 58+ year love affair. They were united in marriage on April 10 1959 & made Drumright their home; raising 2 sons: David & Gary. Sue had worked for the City of Drumright Gas Authority for 22 ½ years until her retirement. Nothing brought her more joy than spending time with her family & friends. She will be greatly missed by them & all who knew her. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by a BROTHER: Tom Lokey; & a NEPHEW: Brian Hicks.
Her remaining family includes her loving HUSBAND of 58 years: Edgar Vice, Jr. of the home; SONS: David Vice of Drumright – Gary Vice of Tulsa; GRANDCHILDREN: Clint Vice – Kenneth Vice – Kyle Vice; Numerous Great Grandchildren; BROTHER: Robert Lokey of Grove; SISTERS-IN-LAW: Susie Hicks of Broken Arrow – Patsy Tronnier of Bartlesville; NIECES & NEPHEWS: George E. Vice, Jr. – Douglas Vice – Kent Vice – Buffy Hickman – Chauntay Johnson – Margot Norton – Thierry Lokey – Carole Ruffin – Maria Lokey – Eden Lokey – Jordan Lokey – Chelsea Lokey – Shannon Blankenship – Michael Lokey; and many other relatives & loving friends.
