Anthony Gates was born the youngest of seven siblings in Muldrow, OK on October 24, 1943 to the late Alvin Gates & Icsia Gates. He passed from this life in Tulsa, OK on February 24, 2016 at the age of 72 years & 4 months. Anthony was raised and educated in Muskogee, OK. He served his country in the US Army (101st Airborne) and was honorably discharged on February 16, 1968. Anthony worked as a metal fabricator for many years and then for Philips 66 until he retired. He had lived in Sapulpa, OK during that time and then moved to Depew, OK in 1992 which he called home for the last 16 years. He was united in marriage with Wanda McCrary in December 2010. His hobbies included cars, playing dominoes and fishing. Anthony was preceded in death by his parents; Twin Sisters; Jean Etta Brown & Celia Mae Bateman and Sister; Vietta L Lewis: 3 Brothers; Norman Gates Sr, Alvin Q Gates and Garvey L Gates; his Wife Wanda McCrary and One Son, Austin McCrary

Those left to mourn his passing include 4 DAUGHTERS: Ronda Broom of Midwest City, Sondra Johnson and husband Alwandro of Oklahoma City, Sharon McCrary of Del City and Cookie; 2 SONS: Timothy McCrary of Depew and Byron and wife Tina of Midwest City. Also several Grandchildren and Great-Grandchildren. Plus a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives & friends.
