Funeral services for Wess E. Lemley will be held at Michael’s Funeral Home Memorial Chapel (Bristow) on Tuesday, January 26, 2016 at 11:00 am. Serving as officiants will be Michael A. Davis & Mr. Charles King (a family member). Funeral and cremation services were entrusted to the care of Michael’s Funeral Home of Bristow, OK. Wess E. Lemley was born in Chickasha, OK on March 2, 1946 to the late James Arbon Lemley and Ethel Mae (Rogers) Lemley. He passed from this life at his residence in Bristow, OK on January 21, 2016 at the age of 69 years, 10 months, & 19 days. Wess was raised & educated in Chickasha & Oklahoma City and was a graduate of Hinton High School. He then joined the US Airforce and was honourably discharged on September 21, 1966. Wess and Claudette (George) Gregory were united in marriage in Eureka Springs, AR on October 9, 1999. They moved from Jenks to Bristow and have remained in this area for the past 12 years. Wess spent 22 years as a truck driver and retired from J.B. Hunt in 2007. He was a member of the Bristow American Legion Post 126 & the National Wild Turkey Federation and had a passion for hunting, fishing, and playing the fiddle. He was a kind and loving man and will be greatly miss by all who knew him. In addition to both parents, Wess was preceded in death by – A Brother: Steve Lemley.

Those left to mourn his passing include HIS WIFE: Claudette Lemley of the Home; 3 STEP-CHILDREN: Eddie Peters and wife Vanessa of Virginia, Lesli Porter of California, & Christy Andrews of West Virginia;
4 GRANDCHILDREN; 2 GREAT-GRANDCHILDREN; 1 SISTER: Olean Shockley and husband Lonnie of Oklahoma City; 1 SISTER-IN-LAW: Monnie Lemley of Oklahoma City; NIECES & NEPHEWS: Lona Spears and husband Jeff of Mustang, Stephanie Humphrey of Oklahoma City and Bryan Lemley of Chickasha. Also, many great-nieces, great-nephews, other relatives & friends.
