Obituary for Vicky Kay Smith (Clites)

Funeral services for Oilton resident, Vicky Smith, were held 2:00 p.m. Monday, April 23, 2018 in the Oilton Free Will Baptist Church with Mr. Harrison Gibson officiating. Interment followed in the Highland Cemetery at Oilton. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to the care of Michael’s Funeral Home of Drumright.

Vicky Smith was born in Lyons, Kansas on November 13, 1945 to the late Ralph Clites & Vera (Riebe) Clites. She passed from this life in Tulsa on April 18, 2018 at the age of 72 years, 5 months, & 5 days. Vicky was raised in Chase, Kansas till 1960 when her family moved to Drumright. She graduated Drumright High School in 1963 & has lived the rest of her life in Creek County. She married Darrell Lee Smith on April 1, 1967 & they have remained together until her death. Vicky had retired from the Oilton Public Schools as a teacher’s aide. Most recent, she had worked as a clerk at the Oilton Jiffy Trip. Lovingly called “Mammy” by most, her greatest joy was spending time with her family & grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by 2 SISTERS: Betty Thornton & Donna Kelso.

Her remaining family includes her HUSBAND: Darrell Smith of Oilton; CHILDREN: Susan Hall & husband Jason “Rooster” of Oilton – Jimmy Smith & wife Tammie of Oilton; GRANDCHILDREN: April Bridwell – Shelly Spears – Kara Jackson – Cody Youtsey – Jimmy Smith, Jr.; GREAT Grandchildren: Mia McCool – Brynlee Bridwell – Michael Spears – Landon Jackson – McKenna Spears – Hayzlee Youtsey – Maverick Spears – Maci Spears – Cayson Youtsey; also numerous other relatives & friends.
