Obituary for Norma Jo Eastridge

Norma Jo Eastridge, resident of Stroud, passed from this life on February 17, 2018 in the Stroud Health Care Center at the age of 83 years, 5 months, & 9 days. A celebration of life gathering will be held at the Depew Church of Christ on Saturday, February 24, 2018 at 12:00 pm Noon. Lunch will be provided. A private committal service of her cremains was held in the Magnolia Memorial Gardens Cemetery at Bristow. Cremation services were entrusted to the care of Michael’s Funeral Home of Bristow.

Norma Jo Eastridge was born in Coweta, Oklahoma on September 8, 1934 to the late Hack Beasley & Edna (Collins) Beasley. She married Billy Joe Eastridge in Arizona in November of 1952 & they remained together until his death in 2007. They had made their home in Sand Springs for many years. Norma had worked for the Kerr Glass Factory for 25 years until her retirement. She was a longtime member of the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary & the Church of Christ. After retirement, she worked at the Stroud Health Care Center where she eventually became a resident. She enjoyed reading, supervising yard work, sewing, and playing the keyboard. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. In addition to her parents & husband, she is preceded in death by 5 Brothers: Dewit – Howard – Harold – Darrell - & Haskell.

Her remaining family includes her Daughters: Linda Cooper & husband Ralph of Depew – Susan Sutterfield & husband Wade of Sand Springs; Grandchildren: Jason Cooper- Brandon Williams – Josh Cooper – J.T. Cooper - & Blake Williams; Great Grandchildren: Caleb Gore – Kelsey Williams – Brent Cooper – Kade Williams – Samantha Brown – Robert Brown – Ace Cooper - & Aspyn Cooper; a Great Great Grandson: Brayden Brown; 2 Brothers: Bob Beasely of Alabama – Billy Beasley of Arizona; 5 Sisters: Barbara Thompson of Ohio – Wanda Puese of California – Betty Merritt – Carol Sly - & Debbie Fields, all of Arizona; also a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives & loving friends.
