Obituary for Wanda "Lorraine" Morris (Dickens)

Funeral services for Bristow resident, Lorraine Morris were held 2:00 p.m. Sunday, February 18, 2018 in the Memorial Chapel of Michael’s Funeral Home – Bristow. Officiating was Rev. Roy Bingham, chaplain of Grace Hospice. Entombment followed on Monday in the Floral Haven Veterans Mausoleum at Broken Arrow, OK. Wanda Lorraine Morris was born in Hanna, Oklahoma on July 30, 1923 to the late John Curtis Dickens & Amanda (Best) Dickens. She passed from this life in Bristow on February 15, 2018 at the age of 94 years, 6 months, & 16 days. Lorraine was raised & educated in Hanna, then attended Northeastern State College. She married James Robert Morris in Hanna, OK in 1944 & they remained together until his death in 1994. She moved to Bristow from Norman 14 years ago to be closer to her daughter. She enjoyed reading – sewing – traveling – and spending time with her family. In addition to her parents & husband, she was preceded in death by a DAUGHTER: Linda Hall; 1 BROTHER: Charlie Dickens; & a SISTER: Ona Lee Wheeler.

She leaves behind 2 DAUGHTERS: Nell Henshaw & Husband Tommy / Kathy Black-Smith & husband James; 5 Grandchildren / 10 Great Grandchildren; Numerous other relatives & friends.
