Obituary for Freddie E. Wilson

Funeral services for Drumright resident, Freddie Wilson, were held 2 pm Monday, February 5, 2018 in the Drumright First Free Will Baptist Church with Rev. John Smith officiating. Interment followed in the Drumright Oak Hill Cemetery. Services were entrusted to the care of Michael’s Funeral Home of Drumright.

Freddie Wilson was born in Cushing, Oklahoma on March 27, 1932 to the late Homer Wilson & Ester (Bohannon) Wilson. He passed from this life on January 31, 2018 at the age of 85 years, 10 months, & 4 days. Freddie was raised & educated in Drumright & was a 1950 graduate of Drumright High School. He had lived all of his life in this area & had retired from Quapaw Rock Quarry as the scale operator. He enjoyed many things in life including collecting a wide variety of many different things, & enjoyed refinishing furniture, yard work, & traveling. He loved country & western music & blue grass music & going to dances & the shows in Branson. He also enjoyed eating out & was a regular at the Homestead Café in Cushing. He was a longtime member of the Drumright First Free Will Baptist Church & loved spending time with his family & friends. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by 1 BROTHER: Darrell Wilson; SISTER: Wanda Bennett; & NIECE: Joyce Ann Wilson.

His remaining family includes 2 BROTHERS: Don Wilson & wife Donita – Jim Wilson & wife Nancy; NIECES & NEPHEWS: Robin Brown – Tommy & Ginger Brown – Pam & Bobby Shoemaker – JoWanda Wilson – LaDonna & Jamie Grear – Billy & Tami Wilson – Scott & Shelia Wilson – Amy & David Pinnell – Leland & Lee Ann Bain; numerous Great Nieces, Nephews; other relatives & friends.
