Funeral services for Sand Springs resident, Gerald Dorsey, were held 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, February 28, 2017 at the Oak Grove Baptist Church with Rev. George Brock, III officiating. Interment followed in Euchee Valley Memorial Park near Cushing. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to the care of Michael’s Funeral Home of Drumright. Gerald Dorsey was born in Cushing, OK on September 9, 1955 to Emma Juliene (Giddeon) Dorsey & the late Harold Robert Dorsey. He passed from this life at his residence on February 23, 2017 at the age of 61 years, 5 months, & 14 days. Gerald was raised & educated in Drumright & was a 1973 graduate of Drumright High School. He went on to college at Oklahoma State University in Stillwater, graduating in 1977. At the time of his death, Gerald was working as a Real Estate Broker for 24/7 Realty Inc. On October 4, 2003 he married Carla Sizemore in Miami, OK & they have remained together until his death. Gerald was an ornery, fun loving individual, & a friend to all he met. He will be greatly missed by many.
