Funeral services for Drumright resident, Bea “MeMe” Nichols, were held 2:00 p.m. Friday, November 25, 2016 in the Drumright First Free Will Baptist Church with Rev. Tim Gillespie of the Seminole First Free Will Baptist Church officiating, assisted by Rev. John Smith. Interment followed in the Drumright Oak Hill Cemetery. Bea “MeMe” Nichols was born Beatrice Ruth Davidson in Lead Hill, Arkansas on April 12, 1932 to the late Fred Davidson & Sarah Ellen (Cain) Davidson. She passed from this life in Tulsa on November 21, 2016 at the age of 84 years, 7 months, & 9 days. Bea’s family moved to the Drumright / Cushing area in 1940. She was raised & educated here & was a 1950 graduate of Drumright High School. She soon fell in love with James Levi Nichols & they were united in marriage in Drumright on August 18, 1950. They had made their home in Drumright & raised 5 children. Bea had worked numerous years for Mushrush Vending until her retirement in 2002. She was a longtime member of the First Free Will Baptist Church & loved her church family very much. She enjoyed crocheting, coloring, & spending time with her family; especially her grandchildren & great grandchildren. Nothing was more precious to her than they. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her HUSBAND in 1981; GRANDSON: Bret Buxton; DAUGHTER-IN-LAW: Cheryl Nichols; SON-IN-LAW: Wayne Richardson; and a SISTER.

Her remaining family includes her CHILDREN: James Nichols of Kendrick – Rick & Cheryl Nichols of Tahlequah – Penny Richardson of Georgia – Cheryl & John Buxton of Drumright – Diane & Lyn Barnett of Cushing; GRANDCHILDREN: Steven & Sue Nichols – Lori Candler – Giz & Misty Nichols – Richard Nichols – Abby & Billy Wilson – Brian & Summer Richardson – Dustin Richardson – Chris & Alicia Richardson – Jenni & Daryn Christy – Andrea & Joshua Tanner – Shannon & Manny Quiles; 15 GREAT Grandchildren – 1 GREAT Great GRANCHILD on the way; & numerous other relatives & friends.
