Graveside funeral services for Drumright resident, Everett Lee “Rod” McElrath, were held 3:00 p.m. Saturday, October 29th in the Drumright Oak Hill Cemetery with Rev. Tyler McDowell of the Olive First Baptist Church officiating. Funeral services were entrusted to the care of Michael’s Funeral Home of Drumright. Everett Lee “Rod” McElrath was born in Drumright, OK on August 28, 1931 to the late Stanley McElrath & Rosa (Berry) McElrath. He passed from this life suddenly at his residence on October 26, 2016 at the age of 85 years, 1 month, & 28 days. Rod was raised & educated in Olive & was a 1948 graduate of Olive High School. On December 30, 1961 he married Mattie Jo Marshall in Leaksville, Mississippi & they have remained together until his death. Rod had worked as Superintendent of Operations for Halliburton in Fort Myers, Florida until his retirement. They moved back to this area 13 years ago. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by 3 Brothers & 3 Sisters.

His remaining family includes his loving WIFE: Jo McElrath of the home; 2 SONS: Larry McElrath & wife Darlene of Texas – Rodney McElrath & wife Adriana of Texas; GRANDCHILDREN: Casey McElrath – Stephanie Martin – Joshua McElrath – Natalie McElrath; GREAT Grandchildren: Noel McElrath – Trinity McElrath – McKenzie Martin; 1 BROTHER: Joseph McElrath of Sapulpa; and several Nieces, Nephews, other relatives & friends.
