A memorial service for Drumright resident, Ruth Brittenham, was held 2:00 p.m. Saturday, June 11, 2016 in the Memorial Chapel of Michael’s Funeral Home of Drumright. Cremation arrangements were entrusted to the care of Michael’s Funeral Home of Drumright.
Ruth Brittenham was born in Frisco, Utah on April 12, 1932 to the late Brian Metterling & Violet (Wells) Metterling. She passed from this life at her residence west of Drumright on June 8, 2016 at the age of 84 years, 1month, & 27 days. Ruth was raised & educated in Wyoming. She married Jim Brittenham in Fort Harmony, Wyoming in 1948 & they raised 3 children. They had made the Drumright area their home since 1965. Ruth had worked as a X-ray technician for the Drumright Memorial Hospital until her retirement. Even though she was a small in stature, her personality carried a big punch. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter: Connie Osterhout in 1988; & a SISTER: Rose Miller.
Her remaining family includes her HUSBAND: Jim Brittenham of Drumright; CHILDREN; Linda Murphy of Tulsa – Carla Brittenham of Drumright; GRANDCHILDREN: Colby Williams – Kendra & Scott Cross – Casey & Ayon Osterhout – Patrick Judy – Cayne & Ashley Martin – Kaleigh Brittenham Great Grandchildren: Bradon William – Laken Williams – Callie Tate – Mackenzie Cross – Alessia Osterhout – Sam Osterhout; a BROTHER: Ken Walker of Wyoming; 2 SISTERS: Hazel Cork of Missouri – Gladys Diamond of Bristow; and numerous other relatives & friends.
