Gene F. Reynolds, Sr.
Funeral services for Drumright resident, Gene Reynolds, were held 10:00 a.m. Monday, June 6, 2016 in the Memorial Chapel of Michael’s Funeral Home of Drumright. Interment followed in the Terlton Cemetery with military funeral honors provided by the United States Air Force. Funeral arrangments were entrusted to the care of Michael’s Funeral Home of Drumright.
Gene F. Reynolds was born in Tulsa, Oklahoma on April 29, 1945 to the late Earl Franklin Reynolds & Betty Frances (Harrigan) Reynolds. He passed from this life at his residence in Drumright on June 3, 2016 at the age of 71 years, 1 month, & 5 days. Gene was raised & educated in the Tulsa / Redfork area & was a 1964 graduate of Webster High School. He joined the United States Air Force in 1965 and remained in the reserves until 1971. He married Margie Ermis in Tulsa on March 17, 1971 & they have remained together until his death. They had made their home in Osage, OK from 1975 to 1995, then moving to Drumright where they remained. Gene had worked as a clerk for the United States Postal Service until his retirement in 2000. Upon moving to Drumright in 1995, they owned & operated Reynolds Beauty Supply until 2013. Gene enjoyed collecting coins, hot wheels, & baseball cards. He was an avid NASCAR fan & enjoyed spending time with his family. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a NEPHEW: Tom Reynolds; & a SISTER: Deann Reynolds.
His remaining family includes his loving wife: Margie Reynolds of Drumright; CHILDREN: Gene Reynolds, Jr. & wife Renda of Cleveland – Mike Reynolds of Florida – Tammy West & husband John of Cleveland; GRANDCHILDREN: Faith Reynolds – Megan & Gerard Myles – Josh & Lindsey West – Justin West – Gene Reynolds, III – Christina Allen; GREAT GRANDDAUGHTER: Mahayla Rolland; BROTHER: Earl Reynolds, Jr. & wife Theresa of Terlton; SISTER: Elizabeth Wilkins of Stroud; & several Nieces, Nephews, and other relatives.
