Funeral services for Drumright resident, Bythel Campbell were held 10:00 a.m. Friday, May 20, 2016 in the Drumright First Baptist Church. Rev. Henry Kellogg of the Drumright First Assembly of God Church officiated. Interment followed in the Drumright Oak Hill Cemetery. Bythel Campbell was born near Oilton, Oklahoma on April 12, 1937 to the late Esta Marie (Yeager) Campbell & Oren Oben Campbell. He passed from this life at his residence on May 17, 2016 at the age of 79 years, 1 month, & 5 days. Bythel was raised & educated in Carmi, Illinois. He had joined the United States Army & was honorably discharged. He married Wilda Stottlemyre in Drumright on June 7, 1963 & they made their home in Tulsa before moving to Drumright in 1969. Bythel had worked in the oil industry for Jim Marrs Drilling, Drumright Oil Well Service, & Thompson Pump for many years. Not thinking of ever retiring, in 2012 he purchased Thompson Pump & changed the name to Cimarron Pump & Supply where he worked until his death. Bythel was a longtime member of the Drumright First Assembly of God Church, serving in numerous capacities. He was always a happy, good natured person with a great sense of humor and a genuine concern to help anyone in need. He was an outstanding & loving husband, father, grandfather, & friend to all who knew him. He will be greatly missed. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by 2 infant children: Mary Marie Campbell & Jeanie Lavern Campbell; 2 Brothers: Basil Campbell & Dewayne Campbell.

He leaves behind his loving wife: Wilda of the home; CHILDREN: Gala Horn & husband Tom of Perkins – Sherry Fitzgerald & husband Ed of Coweta – Lance Campbell & wife Katen of Davenport – Michelle Hoppes & husband Derek of Tipton; GRANDCHILDREN: Tristan Seabeck – Jordan Williams – Cody Fitzgerald – Mackenzie Watkins – Brittany Campbell – Brendan Campbell – Braxton Campbell – Bryce Hoppes – Pyper Hoppes – Max Horn; Great GRANDCHILDREN: Deacon & Millie Williams – Cooper & Tucker Seabeck – Declyn Watkins – Emory & Brayan Campbell; 2 BROTHERS: Marvin Campbell of Drumright – Vernon Campbell of Missouri; 2 SISTERS: Reva Myers of Missouri & Mary Bickell of Cushing; also numerous Nieces, Nephews, Cousins, other relatives & friends.
