Home going services for Bristow resident, Melvin McFee were held on Saturday, January 9, 2016 at 1:00 pm at Trinity Baptist Church in Bristow, OK. Officiants were Pastor John Green of Rentie Grove Baptist Church & Minister John J Green of Victory Christian Center, both of Tulsa, OK. His nephews had the honor of serving as casket bearers. Funeral services were entrusted to the care of Michael’s Funeral Home of Bristow, OK. Condolences may be made online at www.michaelsfuneralservices.com.

Melvin McFee was born in Stroud, OK on February 19, 1951 to the late J.B. McFee & Elizabeth (Howell) McFee. He passed from this life at his residence in Bristow, OK on January 5, 2016 at the age of 64 years, 10 months, & 17 days. Melvin was raised and educated in Stroud and was a 1969 graduate of Stroud High School. He had lived all of his life in the Stroud/Bristow area. In 1975 he joined Viola Harrison in matrimony and they remained together until his death. Melvin had worked in the construction industry, mostly as a brick and rock mason. He was a member of Little Creek Baptist Church in Depew, OK. Melvin had a passion for the outdoors where he very much enjoyed fishing and hunting. He was preceded in death by BOTH parents; 3 BROTHERS: Jimmy Dean Mcfee, Bobby Lee McFee and Billy McFee; and 1 BABY SISTER: Lillian McFee

Those left to mourn his passing include his WIFE: Viola McFee of the home; 8 CHILDREN: Charletta & husband Garry Lyons of Drumright, Patricia Overstreet of Tulsa, Sheree Bigpond of Stillwater, Tina & husband William Fellows, Janet Harrison, Carla & husband Leonard Fullbright, Chashe Williams - all of Bristow, and Angela Thompson of Atlanta, GA; 1 BROTHER: James Junior McFee & wife Eunice of Bristow; 2 SISTERS: Alene & husband John Green, Darlene & husband Terry Jefferson - all of Tulsa; he was also blessed with a total of 60 Grandchildren, Great-Grandchildren and Great-Great Grandchildren.
And a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives & friends.
